The Salt-Crusted Grilled Tilapia Fish is a visual masterpiece that promises an explosion of flavours. With meat so tender it effortlessly falls off the bone, every bite is an affirmation of its freshness. The Salt baked method allows the fish meat underneath the skin to have a light salt flavour that was perfect. Take Note: do not eat the fish skin.
The natural sweetness of the fish is complemented by a medley of aromatic herbs and vegetables – mint leaves, basil, and lettuce. The combination of flavours and textures is enhanced by the rice noodles, peanuts, and a shiok chili sauce.
What is the correct way to eat Salt-Crusted Grilled fish?
1. Pull up the skin of the fish and take the meat underneath it (Do not eat the skin)
2. Take a piece of lettuce and add in the fish meat
3. Pluck some of the fresh mint leaves and add into the wrap
4. Add a little portion of rice noodles
5. Add fresh purple onion and peanut
6. Wrap the whole thing up, dip into their amazing homemade chilli and eat it in one mouth

We asked the Siriwan Thai Food restaurant Thai staffs what is their favourite dish and all of them introduced this. While the image just shows a normal BBQ chicken, it was hands down best BBQ chicken we have tried. The meat was so tender and JUICY yet not fatty. There was no jelat feeling and we finished this dish in an instant.
The BBQ Whole Chicken is a validation to their skill in marination. Each succulent bite is bursting with savoury flavors, accentuated by a subtle sweetness. The tender and well-grilled chicken is a testament to their expertise in BBQ techniques, offering a juicy and satisfying treat.
Secret to why the bbq chicken is so good
We were really curious to why their bbq chicken was so awesome, the staff mentioned that the main reason is because the BBQ Chicken was prepared fresh. In many establishments, chicken was pre-cooked so that they could serve fast. However, this dish have a 20-25min waiting time as they only prepare it when it is being ordered. With regards to how the chicken was marinated, that is a deep secret, so we did not manage to get it.
While it just looks like normal Sotong, Shiok Eats can guarantee you that this Sotong is super flavourful and not tough and chewy like rubber band. It was soft and scrumptious. Its natural sweetness shines through in every tender bite, while the grilling technique ensures a delightful smokiness.
The result is a plate of well-grilled, fresh squid that’s both satisfying and a true taste of the ocean. Dip the squid into their homemade Chilli to experience another level of boost of taste.
Stir-Fry Basil Rice
The special oyster sauce creates a perfect balance between spicy and fragrant, infusing the tender pork with an explosion of taste. The addition of long beans provides a satisfying crunch, adding a layer of texture to each mouthful. The sauce’s sweetness with a hint of spiciness from the chili padi creates a harmonious melody of flavors.
I believe Phad Thai is the first test on whether the Thai food served is authentic and good. Siriwan Thai do not disappoint. The bouncy noodles are cooked to perfection, retaining their delightful texture.
The generous portions of tender prawns and eggs add layers of flavour, and the gentle spiciness allows the dish’s true essence to shine through. Each strand of noodle is coated with the sauce, creating a satisfying bite with every mouthful. Squeeze the Thai lime into their wonderful Phad Thai you will finish it in a few minutes. It is so awesome!
