The first Jack’s Place ‘Value Western Set Lunch’ was started in 1968 by the founder, the late Mr Say Lip Hai, to attract working adults by offering an affordable lunch option. Priced at $3.80, the set lunch included Soup of the Day, choice of either Striploin Steak, Chicken or Fish, Dessert of the Day, and a choice of Coffee or Tea. Carrying on the tradition started in the early years, Jack’s Place continues to provide a variety of value-for-money meal options with set lunches starting from $9.90++. Diners can choose from a selection of 10 different main course options across the Value Set Lunch, Everyday Set Lunch Treats, and Healthier Choice Lunch Set selection daily.
From 1 May, Jack’s Place will introduce a revamped Value Set Lunch selection, providing diners with more flavour combinations in the selection of main courses. Available daily from 11am–5pm, the updated menu selection changes daily and includes N.Z. Striploin Steak with ChasseurSauce ($17.80++), N.Z. Striploin Steak with Tarragon Garlic Sauce ($17.80++), Roasted Half Chicken with Signature Sambal Sauce ($14.80++), Asian Spiced Chicken ($14.80++), and Grilled Fillet of Fish with Mango Cream Sauce ($14.80++), to name a few. Prices for each set include Garlic Bread, Day’s Soup, Choice of Main Course, Day’s Dessert, and Coffee or Tea.
Paying homage to the first set lunch served at Jack’s Place which cost $3.80, 38 lucky diners stand a chance to win Complimentary Value Set Lunch for a year each with any Set Lunch ordered between 1 May–31 May. In addition, order any 3 Set Lunch (choose from Value, Everyday, or Healthier Set Lunches) between 1 May–12 May, and the 4th Value Set Lunch will be priced at only $3.80++, translating to massive savings of up to $14++ (78.6%). Seniors aged 60 and above enjoy $3 off with any order of either the N.Z Ribeye Steak or Barramundi Fish from this Set Lunch selection. The Healthier Choice Set gives diners the choice of either a Caesar Salad with Lava Egg or Teriyaki Chicken Salad with Coffee or Tea for $9.90++.
The Signature Hainanese Oxtail Stew Set Lunch is a much-requested crowd favourite and is priced at $19.30++. Braised in rich stock and slow cooked until the meat is tender and falls off the bone, it is served with Garlic Bread, Soup of the Day, Day’s Dessert, and Coffee or Tea. The Oxtail StewSet is available exclusively at 3 outlets on selected days from 11am–5pm, and only while stocks last: Tuesdays at 321 Clementi, Wednesdays at Bras Basah Complex, and Thursdays at Parkway Parade.
TheValue Set Lunch, Healthier Choice Set, and Everyday Set Lunch are available daily from 11am–5pm, including weekends, the eve of Public Holidays, and Public Holidays.
