Jalan Legundi, the small lane across the road from Sembawang Shopping Centre, is a treasure trove of good food. Common Chefs Bistro’s grey walls, wooden table tops, and black fixtures exude a cool and industrial vibe. The cozy cafe attracts long queues for its delicious and affordable brunch fare. 

Known for its Wazzas (waffle + pizza), the Full Breakfast Wazza ($14) was a stellar choice. The bacon, mushrooms, mozzarella, and fried egg melded together mellifluously to form an awesome breakfast dish. 

The fork-tender and flavourful Duroc Pork Chop ($18) was sensational, while the Soft Shell Crab Aglio Olio ($16), showered with juicy crab meat in addition to the large soft-shell crab, titillated our tastebuds further. 

The crispy and succulent Nan Ru Pork Belly ($9.90), emitting the fragrance of fermented bean curd and with juices dripping from every bite, was a firm favourite as it offered unsurpassed umami-ness. 

The gargantuan Beef Boss Burger ($19), tantalising Buffalo Chicken Wings, scrumptious Shepard’s Pie ($15), and irresistible Truffle Tater Tots ($8) were all delightful, and we loved the decadent Oreo Crepe Cake ($7.50). Besides the Oreo Crepe Cake, they also offer a variety of other delicious crepe cakes such as New York Cheesecake, Black Sesame Peanut, Sea Salt Caramel Chocolate, Lavender, Ondeh Ondeh, and many more.

The two cocktails, State of Passion ($15) and Mojito ($15) were not only sweet and refreshing, but they also complemented the food excellently.
