Chorong Pocha is the newest Korean Street Food concept in town by Chorong Chorong Soju. Pocha is a modern take on the Korean pojangmacha (tented wagon), the orange tarp-covered street stalls thatβ―serve a wide array of finger foods and street snacks. With trendy decor and delicious Korean street snacks such as Spicy Rice Cakes, Cheesy Corn Dog, Kimchi Cheese Fries, and many more, Chorong Pocha aims to bring a fun and unique Korean street food experience here in Clarke Quay!
Guess what! I tried every dish they offered (albeit not all the Soju flavours – otherwise I would be drunk π€ͺ)
@shiokeats Beer Tower? Why not welcome the new year with a soju yakult tower? πChorong Pocha, 3D River Valley Rd, 01-13, Singapore 179023 #chorongpocha #sojutower #koreanfood #foodsg #tteokbokki #fishcakesoup
Letβs take a look at their drinks first. The restaurant serves the soju in 2 ways:
Yakult Tower ($68) – Paired with Chorong Chorong Fruity Soju, I eagerly drink many cups because of it!
Bundle of 3 Chorong Chorong Soju ($15) – They have a total of 5 flavours being offered – Peach, Lychee, Green Grape, Green Apple, and Grapefruit
They also have many popular Korean dishes as their sides to go with your drinks! First up, I definitely had to try the Spicy Rice Cakes ($10). How could you leave a Korean Pojangmacha without trying their Spicy Rice Cakes!? With a generous portion of ingredients and chewy rice cakes, it pairs well with their Fruity Soju! If you have ramen cravings like me, opt for their Spicy Rice Cakes w/ Ramen ($15)!
The Fish Cake Soup ($10) was a comfy soup with 3 yummy skewers and their Fried Chicken Bites Original ($10) is one of my must-order sides. Crispy chicken bites are perfect with soju!
We also had the Corndog ($10) with stretchy mozzarella cheese and the Fried Dumpling ($18), which goes great with the vinegar sauce. The Crispy Seaweed Noodle Rolls ($10) were crispy on the outside with soft noodles embedded inside and the Kimchi Cheese Fries ($15) come with a thick layer of cheese and a generous portion of kimchi and fries. I loved it.
A soju party must never forget their fish jerky! That stretch and pull of the Dried File Fish ($8) in each bite is a must!
